Apple has announced that the free Apple TV software update enabling movie rentals is not quite finished and will now be available in another week or two. This highly anticipated update will allow the Apple TV to work more like a "stand-alone" set top box and give users the ability to "rent" movies from iTunes in standard and HD quality directly from the iTunes Store without the need of a computer.
